Some of my earliest minis! I dry-brushed progressively lighter colors over black primer.
Cthulhu
Cthulhu Fhtagn! This is an “Eldritch Demon” by Reaper Miniatures. I primed it black, and dry-brushed it with progressively lighter green; a totally un-sophisticated paint job, but I was very pleased with the result.
Ashardalon
This is “Ashardalon” from the Wrath of Ashardalon board game. I primed it black, and dry-brushed it with progressively lighter red and yellow. Again, un-sophisticated, but—again—I was very pleased. Black primer with dry-brushing is a great “first tecnique” for mini-painting.
